On Pera apo ti thalassa (“Beyond the Sea”) Pavlos Pavlidis reworks songs by Giannis Markopoulos. The project began in 2019 for the composer’s 80th birthday and was staged at Onassis Stegi in February 2023.
The cover is by the painter Stefanos Rokos, who also designs the look of his recent shows. Pavlidis has said that Markopoulos manages to make the unimaginable sound natural.
